Between 16 and 20 November 2020, the National Integrity Authority initiated five asset controls on a member of the Moldovan Parliament, a member of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), a former anti-corruption prosecutor from Chisinau, a prosecutor from Dubasari and a chief of Territorial office of the State Chancellery.
Three protocols regarding the contravention were drawn up for the non-submission or late submission of the declaration of assets and personal interests by a prosecutor from Chisinau, a former Member of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and a municipal councilor from the Chisinau City Council.
The integrity inspectors issued four documents in which they found situations of conflict of interest admitted by a head of a district, two mayors and a middle school principal. Two contravention cases were initiated on the name of a police officer because he did not submit the declaration of assets and personal interests, and a head of an enterprise prevented the activity of ANI by not presenting the information requested by the integrity inspector.
The ANI procedures also target four mayors from Drochia, Cantemir, Basarabeasca, Singerei districts and three local councilors from Stăuceni, Soldanesti and Cahul districts.
At the same time, fines were applied in the total amount of 11250 lei.
The Legal department of ANI represented the institution in 19 court hearings regarding the contestation of the acts issued by the integrity inspectors. And, through the “e-Integrity” system, 26 notifications were distributed to the inspectors for examination. Also, 10 subjects of the declaration received Certificates of Integrity.
ANI representatives answered 82 calls, of which 8 to the Institutional Information Line.
