Between March 1 and 5, 2021, the Integrity Inspectorate of the National Integrity Authority (ANI) initiated six controls regarding the possible violation of the legal regime of conflicts of interest. The control procedures are aimed at the director of the Balti Roads Repairs and Constructions Directorate, a mayor, a former mayor, a college director and two directors of kindergartens. Their names will be made public after the completion of the control procedures.

Integrity inspectors issued five finding acts. In two ats were found conflicts of interest admitted by the director of the Cahul district hospital and a former director of a kindergarten in Cantemir district. Another finding act found the incompatibility admitted by an official from the Ocnita District Council who held another position at the same time. In two acts it was decided to end the control over the fortune.

Two contravention cases were initiated on the name of a SCM member and a mayor from Cimișlia district for not filing or late filing declarations of assets and personal interests.

Fines in the amount of 1750 lei were applied for non-submission or late submission of the declaration.

The integrity inspectors offered solutions to avoid admitting conflicts of interest, at the request of seven mayors from Balti municipality and from the districts of Cahul, Cimișlia, Drochia, Hîncești and Ștefan Vodă.

The legal department of ANI participated in 20 court hearings for the defense of the finding acts, issued by the integrity inspectors and contested by the subjects of the declaration.

During this period, ANI organized two online trainings for 70 participants.

ANI representatives answered 383 calls, of which 97 to the Institutional Line.

Through the "e-Integrity" system, 27 notifications were distributed. Upon request, 11 Certificates of Integrity were issued. 5353 declarations of assets and personal interests were submitted on the Declaration Portal.
