Between March 15 and 19, 2021, the National Integrity Authority initiated control procedures on the legal regime of conflicts of interest regarding nine local councilors from Colonița village, Chisinau municipality. Also, a director of the Chisinau Sports School and a mayor of Falesti district are suspected of conflicts of interest.

Controls of assets were initiated on a member of the Licensing Commission of the profession of lawyer, a head of the subdivision of the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri, a servant from the State Fiscal Service and a former mayor of Singerei district. Two acts of finding were issued by the integrity inspectors on the control of the assets in which a Member of Parliament and a customs official were targeted. In another act of finding, a conflict of interests was established, admitted by the interim director of the Orhei District Hospital.

 Four contravention cases were initiated by the integrity inspectors. Three cases were initiated for non-submission or late submission of declarations of assets and personal interests by a mayor from Cantemir district, two councilors from Colonița Council, Chisinau Municipality and Ștefan Vodă district. Another case was initiated for not solving the conflicts of interests by a councilor from Causeni district.

The integrity inspectors drew up three protocols regarding the contravention on a mayor from Causeni district, a councilor from Basarabeasca district and a head of kindergarten from Cahul district. Sanctions were applied in the total amount of 10 thousand lei, of which 3000 lei were paid off by the subjects.

The head of Telenesti district compled with the Law on ANI and declared a conflict of interests, for which he received a solution from the integrity inspector.

The legal department of ANI participated in 25 court hearings defending the acts of finding, issued by the integrity inspectors and contested by the subjects of the declaration.

The ANI representatives organized eight training sessions attended by about 551 subjects of the declaration. Also, 693 telephone consultations were granted, of which 152 were registered at the ANI Institutional Information Line.

Through the electronic system "e-Integrity" were distributed 19 notifications.

 Last week, about 8340 declarations of assets and personal interests were submitted on the Public Portal of Declarations.
