Between March 22 and 26, 2021, the National Integrity Authority initiated five control procedures on the legal regime of conflicts of interest. These controls include the head of Riscani district, the deputy head of Ungheni district, a civil servant from the General Directorate of Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations of the Chisinau City Hall, a mayor of Soroca district and a former mayor of Telenesti district.
Two other controls were initiated on a head of the subdivision within the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri and the head of the Architecture and Construction Service within the Pretura of the Buiucani sector. They are suspected of admitting incompatibility in the civil service. The integrity inspectors also initiated a control of the assets of a former senior inspector from the Central Customs Bureau.
Last week, were issued two acts of finding establishing the conflicts of interest regarding the head of the culture department within the Rezina District Council and a high school principal from Cahul. At the same time, the director of JSC "Drumuri-Cahul" was sanctioned for not filing or late filing of the declaration of assets and personal interests, and a contravention case for the same violation was initiated on a councilor from Soldanesti.
The head of Telenesti district respected the ANI law and declared another conflict of interests. His example was also followed by the mayor of Aluniș village from Riscani district and the mayor of Mășcăuți village from Criuleni district. All three subjects received solutions from the integrity inspectors.
ANI representatives organized three training sessions attended by about 180 subjects of the declaration. Also, 642 phone consultations were granted, of which 171 were registered at the ANI Institutional Information Line.
Through the electronic system "e-Integrity" were distributed 10 notifications.
Last week, over 13,000 declarations of assets and personal interests were submitted on the Public Declaration Portal.
