In the week of April 26-30, 2021, two assets control procedures were initiated in which a former deputy minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a deputy director of a district hospital are targeted. Nine other controls were launched to establish possible conflicts of interest admitted by a former interim director of the Joint Stock Company "FEE Nord", director of a company subordinated to Moldsilva Agency, mayor of Riscani district, two former mayors of Telenesti districts and Cimișlia, two local councilors from Cimișlia district and two gymnasium directors from Cahul and Straseni districts. At the same time, the integrity inspectors are investigating a case of incompatibility of office on behalf of a chief accountant from a town hall in the north of the republic.
Over the past week, integrity inspectors have concluded 10 control procedures in which they have established breaches of the legal regimes of conflicts of interest and incompatibilities. Thus, eight conflicts of interests were found on a head of district, councilor in the Dubasari district council, councilor in the Vulcănești city council, councilor in the Năpadova council, director of a gymnasium in Ialoveni district, interim director of a kindergarten in Cantemir district, Floresti district, two directors of kindergarten from Soroca district.
Two incompatibilities were found on a civil servant with special status within the Customs Service and a counselor in the Trifăuți Council, Soroca district. More details about all these findings will be published on the ANI website, after following the legal procedures in this regard.
A contravention case was started for the non-submission or late submission of the declaration of assets and personal interests by a councilor in the Lăpușna Council, Hincești district. And, three contraventions were established regarding a cadastral engineer from a City Hall in the suburb of Chisinau, a councilor in the Cricova Council, Chisinau municipality and a mayor from Cantemir district. They are liable to penalties for violating the rules for submiting the declaration of assets and personal interests. At the same time, the integrity inspectors applied fines in the total amount of 9000 lei, and about 700 lei were already paid by those sanctioned.
Seven more mayors complied with ANI legislation and each declared a conflict of interest. Integrity inspectors analyzed conflict situations and provided solutions.
ANI representatives provided 99 consultations in the field of activity, including 87 phone consultations (18 at the Institutional Information Line) and 12 consultations in electronic format.
