In the week of August 2 - 6, 2021, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) initiated a total of 11 assets control procedures. Six checks were launched on the basis of two journalistic investigations, involving several judges and prosecutors. Thus, the integrity inspectors will analyze the assets of four more judges of the Chisinau Court, a magistrate from the Comrat Court and a prosecutor from the Drochia Prosecutor's Office. In two other assets control procedures, a public servant with a special status from the Customs Service and the Border Police are targeted.
The integrity inspectors also analyze three situations of conflict of interest, which would have been admitted to the public office by a mayor from Soroca district, a councilor from the Vadul lui Vodă Council, Chisinau municipality and a kindergarten director.During the reference period, two violations of the special law of ANI were found: an incompatibility of office established concerning a former head of the district and of a gymnasium director from Telenesti district.
A councilor from the Bălţi Municipality Council was found with a contravention in the amount of 3000 lei for not submitting the declaration of wealth and personal interests.
Six mayors from districts of Drochia, Anenii Noi, Hancesti, Rezina, Cahul and Chisinau suburbs declared each a conflict of interest at ANI.
ANI lawyers defended the finding acts in 14 court hearings.
ANI issued 16 Certificates of Integrity.
ANI representatives provided about 63 telephone consultations, of which 14 calls to the Institutional Information Line.
