During the week of 18-22 October 2021, the National Integrity Authority initiated the control of the property of an Anticorruption Prosecutor, of a mayor from the capital's suburbs and a mayor from Orhei district.
Another three control procedures include a civil servant from Hâncești district, who is being verified for a possible conflict of interests, and two procedures regarding incompatibilities of office include a mayor from Telenesti district and a local councilor from Pruteni, Fălești district.
Four findings were established by the integrity inspectors. Specifically, these are four conflicts of interest, which were admitted to the public office by a head of the of a Directorate within the Chisinau City Council, a mayor and a former mayor from Cimișlia district and a director of a kindergarten from Soroca district.
A fine of 3,000 lei was applied to a local councilor from Copceac, ATU Gagauzia for failing to file a declaration of assets and personal interests. Six other contravention cases were initiated for non-submitting and late submitting of declarations of assets and personal interests. Thus, a director of a municipal enterprise from ATU Gagauzia, a mayor from Telenesti district, three civil servants with special status from IP Falesti and a library director from the suburb of Chisinau are investigated by integrity inspectors for violating the rules of submitting declarations. In this regard, they could be fined by inspectors.
Eight conflicts of interest were resolved by the Integrity Inspectors. The legal department of ANI participated in 20 court hearings to defend the finding acts.
ANI representatives provided 68 telephone consultations, of which 8 calls were registered at the Institutional Information Line. At the same time, four trainings were organized for 640 subjects of the declaration.
