In the week of December 27 - 31, 2021, a property control procedure was started in which a prosecutor of the Hâncești Prosecutor's Office is targeted. Three other controls were launched to establish possible conflicts of interest admitted by a councilor in the Causeni District Council, a kindergarten director from Cantemir district and an interim director of the district Hospital in the north of the country. At the same time, the integrity inspectors are investigating a case of incompatibility of office on behalf of a mayor from Telenesti district.
Over the past week, the integrity inspectors have concluded 7 control procedures in which they have established violations of the legal regime of conflicts of interest. Thus, seven conflicts of interest were found on behalf of a gymnasium director from Straseni district, a mayor from Sangerei district, a former mayor from Cimișlia district, a kindergarten director from Causeni district, a gymnasium director from Rezina district, a mayor from Drochia district and of the President of the Constitutional Court.
A civil servant from the State Tax Service was found with substantial difference in the incurred expenses and the income declared and three subjects of declaration were established in violation of the legal regime of declaring assets and personal interests - a former director of a subordinate institution within the Ministry of Interior, a director of a SC from central-western part of the country and a councilor in the Copceac UTA Gagauzia Council. A mayor from Rascani district was found with violation of the legal regime of incompatibilities.
Three contravention cases were initiated. Two for not submitting the declaration of assets and personal interests by a councilor in the Hâncești Municipality Council and an interim director of a district hospital in the north of the country. Another contravention case was initiated for violating the legal regime of conflicts of interest by the director of a kindergarten in Causeni district.
Four subjects of the declaration complied with ANI legislation and each declared a conflict of interest. Integrity inspectors analyzed conflict situations and provided solutions.
The Legal Department of ANI represented the institution in 3 court hearings regarding the contestation of the finding acts issued by the integrity inspectors. ANI representatives participated in 3 criminal prosecution actions, on criminal cases of illicit enrichment and false in declaration of assets and personal interests.
Phone consultations were provided and 115 calls being answered, including 20 on the Institutional Line. Upon request, 4 Certificates of Integrity were issued.
