Between April 11-15, 2022, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) initiated two control procedures. In a control procedure is targeted a prosecutor from Chisinau who is verified to see if he has complied with the legal regime of incompatibilities. A preschool director is being investigated for a possible conflict of interest during the public office.

In five cases, integrity inspectors issued finding acts of violations. Thus, two mayors, a local councilor and a director of a house of culture were found with a conflict of interest. Another local councilor was identified as violating the legal regime of declaration of property by including incomplete data about assets held in the declaration of assets and personal interests in the period 2016-2020.

Integrity inspectors initiated a contravention case on a local councilor for failing to resolve a conflict of interest. A deputy director of the hospital was fined with 1750 lei for the late submission of the declaration of assets and personal interests.

ANI's legal department participated in 17 court hearings. ANI issued 13 Certificates of Integrity and resolved 10 conflicts of interest.

During the reference period, ANI representatives provided telephone consultations on 113 calls, including 22 on the Institutional Information Line.
