Between May 16 and 20, 2022, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) drew up four minutes regarding the contravention based on which fines were applied in the total amount of 18 thousand lei. Thus, for the late submission of declarations of assets and personal interests, two civil servants were fined 1500 lei each. A mayor was fined 6,000 lei for not declaring and not resolving a conflict of interest. And, for a councilor, for the same violation was applied a fine of 9000 lei.
Two other contravention cases were filed against two counselors for failure to submit declaration of assets and personal interests and respectively – for late submition of declaration.
During the reference period, the integrity inspectors established four violations of ANI's special legislation. Thus, a conflict of interest was found on behalf of a mayor and a high school principal, and two violations of limitation were identified for a civil servant and a former civil servant.
The acts of finding that have been issued for these four subjects regarding the violation of the legal regime of limitations or conflicts of interest are not final, and those concerned are entitled to challenge the decisions of the integrity inspectors.
In addition, the integrity inspectors initiated two procedures for the legal control of conflicts of interest. They started with a mayor and a kindergarten director.
ANI representatives received 11 calls to the Institutional Information Line and offered 51 telephone consultations to the subjects of the declaration.
The legal department of ANI participated in 22 court hearings. ANI resolved 7 conflicts of interest and issued 34 Certificates of Integrity.
