Between June 20 and July 1, 2022, the National Integrity Authority initiated four control procedures of property and personal interests. Those investigations concern three civil servants with special status and a mayor.
Six violations were identified by integrity inspectors. Thus, a conflict of interest was established regarding two mayors, a district councilor and a middle school principal. In two other cases, on the legal regime of the declaration of assets, the integrity inspectors found inconsistencies in the declarations of assets of a civil servant with special status and a district councilor.
The integrity inspectors also started 17 contravention cases. Six councilors and four former councilors are targeted in the non-submission of declarations of assets and personal interests’ cases. For the late submission of declarations of assets and personal interests, a civil servant with special status and a head of institution are checked. And, two principals of middle schools, a mayor and a counselor for not declaring conflicts of interest.
Four minutes were drawn up regarding the contravention by which fines were established in the total amount of about 8500 lei. Thus, were fined a director of a public institution, two councilors and a former councilor for non-submission or late submission of declarations of assets and personal interests.
The legal department participated in 45 court hearings. ANI representatives organized five trainings for about 200 subjects of the declaration and provided 94 telephone consultations, including 26 calls to the Institutional Line.
Integrity inspectors resolved three conflicts of interest. ANI issued 29 Certificates of Integrity.
