Between September 12 and 23, 2022, the National Integrity Authority initiated four control procedures on the legal regime of conflicts of interest where are targeted: a former rector of a higher education institution, two mayors and a local councilor.
The integrity inspectors verified 202 declarations of assets and personal interests submitted by state officials for the year 2021. Following the verification of these declarations, it was established the presence of four appearances of violation of the legal regime of property, two appearances of the existence of the substantial difference between income and expenses and another appearance on the legal regime of incompatibilities.
The integrity inspectors initiated 12 contravention cases on the aspect of non-submission of declarations of assets and personal interests, targeting seven councilors and three ex-councilors within the local public administration, a head of the CNAS (National Social Insurance Institution) Directorate, a civil servant with special status within the Customs Service and an ex - member of the Integrity Council.
The legal department participated in 47 court hearings. ANI representatives organized two online trainings for 253 subjects of the declaration of assets and personal interests (public officials from the National Food Safety Agency) and granted 92 telephone consultations, including 30 calls to the institutional Information Line.
Integrity inspectors resolved six conflicts of interest. ANI issued 91 Certificates of Integrity.
