Between February 22 and 26, 2021, the ANI Integrity Inspectorate initiated a control on the name of the head of Straseni district, after an ex-officio notification from a journalistic investigation about a possible conflict of interests admitted by him. In two other control procedures regarding incompatibility of office and conflicts of interest, a mayor from Basarabeasca district and a councilor from Causeni district were targeted.

The director of JSC “Drumuri Cahul” and a mayor from Causeni district are targeted in two contravention cases initiated for non-submission or late submission of declarations of assets and personal interests.

The head of Falesti district, the interim director of Orhei district hospital, a former head of Straseni district, a local councilor from Cricova, Chisinau, a mayor from Cahul district and a councilor from Singerei district received fines. In total, ANI applied sanctions in the amount of 13 thousand 750 lei.

Three conflicts of interest and two incompatibilities of office were found in five acts. Conflicts of interest were committed by a mayor from Ialoveni district, a local councilor from ATU Gagauzia and a former kindergarten director from Causeni district. The head of Floresti district and a district councilor from Nisporeni were in incompatibility.

The mayor of Hâncești and the mayor of Răzeni, Ialoveni district declared a conflict of interests at ANI, and the integrity inspectors sent solutions to solve them.

The legal department of ANI participated in 19 court hearings for the defense of the finding documents, issued by the integrity inspectors and contested by the subjects of the declaration.

ANI representatives provided 423 telephone consultations, of which 82 were registered at the ANI Institutional Information Line.

Through the electronic system "e-Integrity" were distributed 20 notifications.

Last week, about 4,500 declarations of assets and personal interests were filed on the Public Declaration Portal.
