Between July 19-23, 2021, the Integrity Inspectorate of the National Integrity Authority (ANI) initiated eight controls. In four control procedures, regarding the possible violation of the legal regime of conflicts of interest, controls targeted a director of a structure of Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC), a director of Kindergarten from Soroca district, an administrator of a public institution subordinated to Singerei District Council and a counselor from Edinet City Council.
Three control procedures, for possible incompatibilities of office, were initiated regarding a member of National Financial Market Commission (CNPF), a head of the District Directorate for Food Safety within National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) and a civil servant from Cricova City Hall. An assets control procedure was initiated against a former head of an institution subordinated to the Ministry of Interior. Their names will be made public after the completion of the controls.
The integrity inspectors issued two acts of finding, which found conflicts of interest of a mayor from Soroca district and a councilor from Ciorești Council, Nisporeni district. In order to avoid situations of conflicts of interest, the inspectors offered solutions, at the request of five mayors from Râșcani and from the districts of Cahul, Căușeni, Șoldănești and Ștefan Vodă.
The legal department of ANI participated in 16 court hearings for the defense of the finding acts, issued by the integrity inspectors and contested by the subjects of the declaration.
ANI representatives answered 58 calls, of which 17 to the Institutional Line. Upon request, 8 Certificates of Integrity were issued.
