In the week of September 27 - October 1, 2021, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) initiated four control procedures. Three property checks were initiated on three prosecutors from the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Glodeni and Drochia Prosecutor's Offices. Thus, the prosecutors from Glodeni and Drochia became subjects of control due to journalistic investigations, and the prosecutor from the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office is verified ex officio, after analyzing the declarations of assets and personal interests for 2020.
A councilor from the Valea Perjei Council from Cimișlia district is in a possible conflict of interests. A situation of incompatibility and 4 conflicts of interest were established as a result of the completion of the control procedures regarding a local councilor from Enichioi Council, Cantemir district, a former interim director of a state enterprise subordinated to Moldsilva Agency, a college director from Soroca, a high school principal from Cahul district and a kindergarten director from Soroca district.
A contravention case was initiated on a councilor from the Copceac Council from ATU Gagauzia. The subject risks a fine for failing to submit a declaration of assets and personal interests. And, a public servant with special status within the Telenești Police Inspectorate of the Ministry of Interior was fined 4,500 lei for the same violation.
Four conflicts of interest were declared and resolved. It concerns a mayor from the suburb of Chisinau, a mayor from Anenii Noi district, a mayor from Drochia and one from Ungheni district.
ANI lawyers participated in 32 court hearings to defend the finding acts.
ANI representatives provided 87 telephone consultations, of which 22 calls were registered at the Institutional Information Line. At the same time, a training was organized for approximately 43 subjects from the Migration and Asylum Office of the Ministry of Interior.
