71 years ago, on 9 May, six major European states decided to stop the fury of wars by creating a climate of mutual understanding that would ensure peace, unity and economic development. Thus, the European Union was created, to which countries on the European continent began to join one by one, EU becoming a great attraction in terms of security, economy, social and political life.

Since 2006, the Republic of Moldova, together with the European states, marks 9 May - Europe Day. Our country has made a number of commitments to the European Union in the process of economic development and accession to the European community. And the European Union has become a loyal friend to us, giving us full support to the fulfillment of the commitments made.

The National Integrity Authority is among the beneficiaries of the investment projects financed and implemented by the European community. Since the creation of our institution, European experts have become members of our family. In the moments of crisises, the European partners were the first voice to be heard in our support. When we pointed out the need for institutional development, the European institutions were the first to provide the necessary support and assistance.

For more than 5 years, ANI has built close working relations with the European institutions in the Republic of Moldova, which have strengthened over time, being based on mutual trust and sincerity. Here I would like to mention my high appreciations for the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the Office of the Council of Europe in Chisinau, experts from the Agency for International Cooperation of Germany (GIZ). Also, we would like to mention that recently, our Authority became a full member of the international integrity platform - "The Network for Integrity".

In my capacity as the President of the Authority, I am grateful for the support that the European Union provides to our institution and, implicitly, to the Republic of Moldova. It is an honor for me to discuss, negotiate and decide together with European experts the implementation of the assistance and partnership projects, so important and expected by us. The exchange of experience and opinions is a real pillar of trust and responsibility, which is why I want to assure you of the continuity and successful fulfillment of all commitments and actions taken.
