In the week of November 15-19, 2021, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) initiated a total of 23 controls. Most of the investigations were started regarding 20 officials from National Agency for Food Safety( ANSA), but also from the territorial subdivisions of ANSA from Orhei, Causeni, ATU Gagauzia, Drochia, Calarasi, Soroca, Hancesti, Balti and Falesti. They are checked for breach of the legal regime of incompatibilities. In three other procedures, possible conflicts of interest are verified in which two mayors from Dondușeni and Leova districts are targeted, as well as a director of a joint stock company from Cahul.
At the same time, the integrity inspectors refused to initiate controls on behalf of 17 subjects of the declaration. These refusals involve eight district and local councilors, four mayors, a civil servant with special status, a civil servant from a town hall, a municipal enterprise administrator and a director of a joint stock company. Two councilors from Lăpușna from Hâncești district were fined for the late submission of the declaration of assets and personal interests. At the same time, the integrity inspectors found a substantial difference in the property of a deputy hospital director in the amount of over 700 thousand lei.
ANI lawyers defended the findings in 37 court hearings.
On the aspect of prevention, two trainings were organized for 260 people.
ANI representatives offered 98 telephone consultations, of which 19 calls were registered at the Institutional Information Line.
