In the week of November 22 - 26, 2021, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) initiated a total of 14 controls. In two property controls are targeted: a mayor of a suburb of the capital and another of a locality from Telenesti district.
For possible conflicts of interest, a former director of a municipal enterprise from Bălți, a former official from the Office of the head of Soroca district and a kindergarten director from Căușeni district are checked. Nine other officials from the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) territorial directorates in the districts of Cantemir, Sângerei, Edineț, Fălești, Rezina, Cahul, Anenii Noi and Floresti are being checked for possible incompatibilities.
Fines of about 12 thousand lei were applied by integrity inspectors for failure to submit or late submitting of declarations of assets and personal interests. Thus, two councilors from Tomai, ATU Gagauzia and Lăpușna, Hâncești district, as well as a civil servant from the Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports from Chisinau and three civil servants with special status of the Inspectorate of Falesti Police, were fined.
Two violations were established by integrity inspectors. In an act of finding on behalf of a former judge of the Causeni Court, a clear difference was found between the assets acquired and the revenues obtained for 2013, in the amount of over 89 thousand lei. A director of an enterprise subordinated to Moldsilva Agency was found in violation of the legal regime of conflicts of interest.
ANI lawyers defended the findings in 29 court hearings. On the aspect of prevention, 143 telephone consultations were offered, of which 21 calls were registered at the Institutional Information Line.
ANI issued 32 Certificates of Integrity, which were requested by employers for candidates for public office.
