Between February 28 and March 11, 2022, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) conducted seven controls and found 19 violations. On the control of property, six investigations were launched in which are targeted: a head of department from General Inspectorate of Police, a former senior civil servant within an authority subordinated to the Ministry of Finance, a civil servant with special status within the National Inspectorate of Public Security of the General Inspectorate of Police, the mayor of Călărași and two city councilors from Basarabeasca and Codru, Chisinau municipality.
Finding acts were issued regarding the control of the property on the name of: a former Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, three civil servants with special status within the IGSU of the Ministry of Interior, IP Edinet, IP Comrat and a mayor of Falesti. district.
Three mayors from Drochia, Telenesti and Causeni districts, a former director of the municipal enterprise "Apa - Canal Rascani" from Cricova, Chisinau municipality, and a school principal from Cantemir district were found with a conflict of interest. Three councilors from Soroca, Cimișlia and Hâncești districts were in incompatibility. And, with an act of finding regarding the restrictions and limitations in the public service was established a civil servant with special status within the Customs Service.
A total of nine contravention cases were initiated. Thus, a civil servant with special status within the Ministry of Interior and two councilors from Dubasari and Edinet districts are targeted in a case initiated for late submission or failure to submit declarations of assets and personal interests. Contravention cases were initiated against a director of a municipal enterprise in Chisinau, two mayors from Causeni district and a kindergarten director for failure to resolve and declare conflicts of interest. For infringement of the legal regime of incompatibilities, two councilors from Rezina and Cimișlia districts were targeted with possible contraventions.
Minutes were drawn up on the names of 11 people. Respectively, a notary will receive a fine for obstructing the activity of ANI. A civil servant with special status within the Edinet Police Inspectorate and a councilor from Straseni district will be fined for not submitting the declaration of assets and personal interests. A director of a municipal enterprise from Chisinau, a school principal from Taraclia, a mayor from Cantemir district and a kindergarten director from Cahul district and two councilors from Cimișlia district will be fined for not resolving conflicts of interest in time. And, two councilors from Cimișlia and Rezina districts will be fined for being in two positions simultaneously.
ANI representatives organized 19 online training sessions for about 1,400 subjects of declaration of assets and personal interests. At the same time, more than 650 telephone consultations were offered. Over 10,000 annual declarations of assets and personal interests were submitted on the Declaration Portal.
