In the week of April 4 - 8, 2022, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) imposed fines totaling 18,000 lei, initiated two control procedures and established four violations. Thus, a former dignitary was fined because he did not resolve his incompatibility in time. A district councilor was fined for failing to submit a declaration of assets and personal interests, and a mayor was fined for failing to declare and not resolving a conflict of interest in public office.
In two initiated control procedures are targeted: a prosecutor from Chisinau, who is being verified for a possible incompatibility in the civil service, as well as a mayor for a possible conflict of interests. The established violations targeted a judge and a civil servant who have been found to have violated the legal regime of the declaration of assets and personal interests by including incomplete data in the declarations of assets and personal interests. A former head of the institution was identified with conflict of interest in relation to his daughter, and a former civil servant with special status was established with incompatibility.
The integrity inspectors started two contravention cases on behalf of two councilors for not submitting the declaration of assets and personal interests and, respectively, for not declaring and not resolving a conflict of interests.
ANI's legal department participated in 27 court hearings. ANI issued 15 Integrity Certificates and resolved two conflicts of interest.
